Interior Design Spring & Summer Intern

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare floor plans and elevation drawings using AutoCAD and Photoshop as needed,

• Assist in collecting and analyzing of clients’ requirements, needs and goals for residential and commercial projects while entering all relevant information into our in-house design program,

• Create project mood boards as needed and under the direction of the Principal Designer,

• Maintain and manage the studio’s sample materials library against updated vendors stock information,

• Organize and manage the studio’s online sourcing catalog and social inspiration images and files,

• Prepare presentation materials and packages for client meetings including sample trays and pick up any items required for client meetings.

• Coordinate materials and finish samples orders, pickups, and returns in a timely fashion,

• Assist in organizing branding and portfolio images as well as planning social media posts including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin and Pinterest.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.

• Proficient with 2D and 3D computer software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite and other design programs.

• Some experience with selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes is required.

• Ability to identifying life, safety, zoning and building code issues on job sites and report them to the Designer on lead.

• Previous work experience within a customer service or retail environment with merchandising is strongly desirable.

• Ability to multi-task independently as well as within the team, while prioritizing work efficiently to meet deadlines.

• Some access to vehicle is required in order to visit projects and supplier showrooms.

• Highly creative, imaginative and artistic with a great sense of humour and an approachable attitude.

• An enthusiasm for social media and content creation is considered a strong asset.

• Must be eager to learn and interested in the possibility of growing with our team. A love for good music and coffee is greatly welcomed!
